Why are self-appraisals so important?

While the self-appraisal process is considered as most dreadful and monotonous task by most team members, it is one of the most robust processes and the introduction of self-appraisal process in our organization yielding enormous benefits to each of you and the leadership team.

· A sense of motivation – When you are given the opportunity to self-evaluate, you feel more empowered to honor the commitment to our guests. They see that your opinions does matter and is taken into consideration during performance review discussions.

· Ownership of work – For starters we want to give you ownership of your contributions to the team. Hold yourself more accountable for actions and reaction.

· Healthy employer-employee relationship – Self-appraisals helps in improving our relations in the workplace. Self-appraisals initiates an engaging and continuous conversation between you and the leadership team and keeps the door swinging both ways!

· Two-way communication – Performance management works best when there is two-way communication between the leaders and YOU. This is often overlooked in their day to day interactions. Self-appraisals formalize interaction to a great extent. This process paves way for two-way communication between everyone and keeps the trajectory moving forward and expectations set.

· Eliminates discrepancies– Leadership sometimes has a different perspective than you and we want to see through your lens. Even leaders who work closely with their teams cannot always see the your side, so we want to hear your story.

· Career growth – While performing self-appraisals YOU get to know strengths and weaknesses through our lens and we get to hear ours as well. You can identify the areas in which you may need improvement and areas that we feel you excel.

5 Star You show up and go above and beyond every day! (Exceptional)
